Our story

You could say it all started when a tree fell on our house.

…or perhaps it started before then. Owner Kevin Nelson has a great love for the outdoors since childhood and a penchant for helping others. When he thought about what he’ll do when he retires from serving in the United States Air Force, he had lots of ideas. And then it hit him - and our home.

Our neighbor’s Willow tree fell into our front yard and one of the limbs managed to punch through our roof, among inflicting other damage to our home. When the insurance company told us they’d reimburse for time spent removing the tree, Kevin got out the chainsaw and called a couple guys.

With that, learning about spotting problems with trees became a hobby because we had dozens of trees on that property. Always a student, Kevin’s hobby evolved into passion, ideas into action, and the rest is history. We decided to create a tree removal and trimming business to start serving our community right away, even though retirement from the military is about eight years away for Kevin.

We’re a small company because we want to serve our clients better than the bigger guys. We’ve seen wrecked yards, cracked concrete, limbs, and branches left strewn about by guys in a hurry.

We believe that trees need to be nurtured and guided as they mature.

People who appreciate trees should have an arborist for life, not just a guy who shows up, drops some trees, and leaves (see what we did there?). We’re here for the long haul to serve you.

We climb trees and use ropes to rig limbs down - that means we don’t use a crane and cherry picker which inevitably destroy your yard, so sometimes it’s not quite as cheap as the other guys. Rest assured, we’ll treat your property as if it were our own and we certainly don’t do anything halfway.

Our team is a tight-knit crew and takes pride in workplace organization and communication. We’ll always fill you in on our plans to make sure you’re getting just what you need.
